VICTORY IS MINE!

I am happy to inform all you fine readers that Operation: "Close Enough To Taste Her" is a success. Through sheer determination and midget skillz (trading up for a floor ticket and conveniently NOT sitting at my assigned seat) I have accomplished my mission.

How close was I?

This close:

FYI: at the end of that clip, you can hear me say.."OH my go...." which is midget code for "I think I just pissed myself."

and this close:

and yet..even closer...

I will know go bask in my Post-Madonna glow (pass out) and maybe wash those pants I was wearing last night........

Fuckin-A right-on E.

There is NOTHING better than getting exactly what you want and having it be exactly what you were hoping for.

I, of course, have yet to experience this but I have seen it occur in movies and read about it in newspapers and magazines and whatnots.

Well I don't think you can top that. I think the next goal is to actually get pulled UP on stage. But I'm afraid you might literally die after that so I don't think I'll wish for it.

Now what does it mean that she "did the crucifix"?

Thanks you guys! I'm still on a complete high and I seriously have to stop myself from buying yet ANOTHER ticket...

J: I didn't drop it, I purposely stopped the camera because I didn't want to use up all my memory. Also, most of the times she walked near me, I was in awe and completely forgot to take pictures..OR the pictures that I did take were all blurry because of the lights.

Shannon: I think the next goal is to actually go out on a real date with her! hahaha! I better start my letter writing campaign to Oprah.

You didn't hear about the Catholic church's uproar over Madonna? She sings Live To Tell on the crucifix, which I understand DOES look offensive if you just saw a picture. But in reality, it was a very moving part of the concert. Hard to explain but as she was singing the Live To Tell on the cross, a ticker was going above her head on a screen, when the song ends, the number reaches to 12 million..and later it shows that is the number of children orphaned in Africa due to Aids. And as the song progresses, more statistics are popped up on stage.. kind of like a semi-educational awareness bit for the people. That whole section of the show is basically about unity of people, religion, harmony, peace, etc, AND she used a lot of other religious symbols, but of course this is the one they focus on.

Awesome Elaine, I'm so glad you got to experience that.

Now everyone pull for me, as I stalk the streets of Tribeca and try to get Jesse L. Martin in bed.

You know, this Maddy is rarely one to be jealous, but you had my shirt AND my seat. I am jealous!

Honestly, though, it was indeed an amazing show. First one I ever attended, and my only regret was waiting 20 years to do it!

I too am coming down from my high, and kind of in that withdrawal "I wanna do it again!" stage. Talk about a moment I'd love to be stuck in forever...

What a lady, what a night...
