What comes before Part B? PART A!!!!

This week my best friend Judy was in town for the holidays so my other friends and I decided this would be a perfect time to all get together because now that we’re “adults” and living a couples miles apart, it’s a rare day that we all get to just sit the fuck down, have a chitty chat chat with a few drinks and some good food thrown in the mix. We’ve all known each other since 2nd grade ..(okay except for D-po who nosed in on the group at 4th grade, she’s weird but we let her in anyways…Just kidding gurl!) We knew each other way way back when school lunches were a dollar and not ONE single thing on that tray was “health conscious” and the jungle gyms were hardcore metal built on ASPHALT (so if you fell, well that’s just natural selection taking its course now isn’t it?). We’re not “old” by any means, I’m the old lady of the bunch (THURRRTY) but I noticed how much our “get togethers” have changed between twenty and thirty. At twenty, we would have all met around 9:00 p.m., got ready together at whoever lived closest to the bar or club and would have been out the door, (high heels, skirt, hair done did, a little cleavage a’peekin’) around 10:30 p.m. or 11:00 p.m. We would have danced, drank, stumbled home and passed out around 2:00 am or 3:00 am. At thirty, we all got together around 6:00 p.m. at an actual HOUSE (not an apartment) and two of us apologized for being late for dinner what with traffic and getting the hubbies ready to take care of the kids. We grab dinner at an Italian restaurant nearby simply because we heard the waiters were all Italian guys who were cute and who doesn’t like some good eye candy with a hearty plate of pasta? (turns out the waiters WERE all guys…except they all seemed to be the frat boys who went to Cal State Fullerton nearby ...not ONE Italian in the joint..oh well.) only two of us drank any alcohol (a glass of wine with dinner) one kind of felt a little sleepy after one glass (Hi J-ene!) and what did we do after dinner? Head back to the house to play a little Karaoke on the PS2 of COURSE!!! Around 10:30 p.m., we said our goodbyes because we wanted to be home at a semi-decent hour because we had work, kids, or whatever to do the next day and needed our sleep.
Aaaah what a difference ten years make. Not that we could not still party with the best of them because we can by god! (okay, who am I kidding?, I’m yawning by 10:30 p.m.. I’m not even going to front like I’m the party animal I used to be) Honestly though, I did not know that singing “Toxic” off key on the PS2, completely SOBER could be so much fun!

Good times.. good times….
So ladies next time, we’ll meet for brunch and bridge? Whaddya say?
(here's some pictures for your amusement and for their embarassment)

OH and I was Tagged by a a cheeky Welshman...…... (just don’t tell the hillbilly)What does "cheeky" mean anyways? I just said it because those people with accents say it on t.v. Yeeha.
