Book It Laine-O!
Got this off of Jali's blog except she actually got tagged.
I didn't get tagged.
I just stole it.
Sorry Jali.
But fun was had by all.....
oh and I tag everyone who doesn't have anything to blog about right at this moment...
1. One book that’s changed your life.
Buddhism Plain And Simple...pretty much convinced me that going the way of the fat happy man was the way to go. and Case For A Creator...THIS should be required text for all schools. Science points toward a God? What?!?! Oh but it does....
(I know that's TWO books, but both were equally significant)
2. One book that you have read more than once.
The Long Walk by Stephen King = in my opinion, one of his best books. If reality t.v. keeps going the way its going, this book is going to end up being a prediction of the future.
3. One book that you would want on a deserted island?
My Art History book from college. it's huge, it's got sex, scandal, beautiful art and and I haven't finished reading it.
4. One book that made you cry
The Notebook.. I read this before they even thought about making it into a movie and I highly recommend the book vs. the movie. The movie kind of gave the summary of the story whereas the book REALLY sucks you into their lives, feelings, etc. I was a blubbering idiot by the end of this book...
5. One book that made you laugh.
My Point...and I do have one. By Ellen Degeneres. Hilarious.
6. One book you wish had been written.
Why Fried Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwiches are better than People.
An Autobiography By Elvis Presley.
7. One book you wish had never been written.
I haven't really come across a really bad book where I wished it wouldn't have been written.
8. One book you are currently reading.
The Knights of Templar - this was a book of the month by my book club and I forgot to "decline" it within the alloted time. So since I'm forced to pay for it, I might as well read it. And so far it's pretty good!
9. One book you’ve been meaning to read.
Bunny Tales: Behind the closed Doors At The Playboy Mansion. - Initially, I could give a rat's ass about the Playboy Mansion, but my friend recently told me she used to go to school with Hef's current number one girlfriend and she gave me a quick summary of the book. Its sick and twisted and now I totally want to read it.
10. One book you're glad to own.
All of them - I agree with Jali on this one. Books are cheap portable entertainment that have great special effects, amazing camera angles and an awesome soundtrack.
11. One book from which you must read aloud.
Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. I love everything about this book ESPECIALLY how they phonetically spell out the dialogue. You can thank this book for my impeccable, almost genuine country bumpkin accent. It comes in handy for when I have to make fun of the hubby...or get out of a clan lynching...either way. muy HANDY.

I'm currently reading "Crime and Punishment" by some Russian dude.
The most beautiful and saddest book ever has got to be "Paula" by Isabel Allende. You have to read it. It began as a letter to her daughter as she lay in a coma. It's a true story.
I totally stole this from you too. I love MEMEs and esp ones about books.
Trainspotting was another book where all the dialogue is phonetically spelled. Good practice if you want to pretend to be English.
Judy - Oooh, that sounds like a good book. I'll stock up on the kleenex before getting that one.
SS: Yeah, I really liked this one, so feel free to steal it too. :P
LBB: Agreed! Both really great books
Hootch: Oh yes, I have that book as well and my scottish accent is spot on ..especially after a couple of drinks. I sound like a Filipino Leprechaun.
Ooh, Elaine. Mind if I steal?
hotdrwife..(psst...I've got my back turned...steal away!..)
Woo-hoo I am going to steal this one too. It's not stealing if you stole it from someone else who stole it.
I'm late and all but I'll make it official - Elaine (insane in the membrane - insane in the brain) you are now officially tagged.
I am not sure what happened, but I really can't stand reading. It bores me. I suck. What's wrong with meeeeeeeeeee? I think I'm missing a gene or something. :(
